Coober Pedy Opal Tour
An incredibly unique and very Australian experience.
Day One
- Start the trip in style as you are picked up from your hotel by limousine and taken to Parafield.
- Step back to the days where air travel was reserved for the wealthy as you board the beautiful Beech 18.
- Fly over the Flinders and some very Australian countryside on your way to Coober Pedy, where you will explore the very unique Old Timer’s Mine before being whisked away to the Underground Crystal Cafe for Lunch.
- Spend the afternoon touring Coober Pedy or, if you would rather leave the other half to play with the opals, head out to play golf on Coober Pedy’s Golf Course - the only course where you have to carry your own turf.
- Check in to the Desert Caves Hotel - high class, underground hotel.
- Dinner at Tom and Mary’s Greek Taverna.
- Then you will be picked up and taken for some star gazing prior to settling for the night.
Day Two
- A short sleep in, but we will be off relatively early for a flight down to Parachilna for lunch.
- Then you will board your Beech 18 for the final leg to Parafield where once again you can expect a Limo transfer to your hotel.
What a way to take in a lot in two days!
